We are Kip Hotel, Hackney, in case you didn’t already clock…We are the spot in the middle of East London culture, with super affordable prices, a super trendy & Scandi vibe, and GREAT coffee…if we do say so ourselves! You’re already here (virtually, anyway)…but just in case you weren’t convinced, here’s some reasons why you should definitely stay with us!
The Area
One of the very best things about Kip is our location! Situated right next to Hackney Central station, basically giving you easy access everywhere around London…not that you really need to go anywhere else seeing as there is such a great vibe in the Hackney area! Talking of which, Kip is literally located in the hub of East London; a short walk from the iconic London Fields and Victoria Park, as well as everyone’ s favourite canal – Regents Canal, and of course the quirky East London pubs and independent restaurants. Some of our favourites include – Oren; a cosy spot on Shackwell lane specialising in Israeli sharing plates, Del74; basically home to the best margaritas and tacos East London has ever seen, and of course Mare Street market!
The Hotel
Of course, the very best thing about Kip, is Kip itself! Stylish, simplistic, monochrome, with a Scandi edge, our hotel has a very strong, hand-crafted aesthetic. What it doesn’t have is the crazy price tags, because why should you have to pay ridiculous amounts for style and comfort?! We have a wide selection of rooms suitable for anyone and everyone; whether you’re travelling for business, enjoying a night out in Hackney with friends, or a weekend getaway with your partner…or just yourself (because let’s be honest, we’re all in need of that right now.) Some of our different room types start from an affordable cabin with a shared bathroom, and extend to a Penthouse or Family room. Oh, and did we mention we sell a range of local products in house? East London is known for its delicious pastries and unique coffee shops…you can find all of that with us!
The Arts
We couldn’t talk about Kip and East London in general, without mentioning art galleries. Essentially, the whole of Hackney is a gallery with a collection of super detailed street art, however we’ve also got a great collection of galleries surrounding us. Some of our favourites include; Hales Gallery (right opposite Shoreditch High Street station), the iconic White Cube (Bermondsey Street), and White Chapel Gallery (a 1 minute walk from Aldgate East Underground.) Art galleries are opening from 12th of April, so make sure you get your visits booked!
Festivals
If you didn’t already know (see our previous journal post), there’s A LOT of festivals happening around Kip this summer, as well as concerts! The biggest being All Points East, taking place over August bank holiday weekend (27-30th August), which will be kicking off in one of London’s most stunning and energetic parks, Victoria Park…which is quite literally around the corner from us! We would love to host you and provide a comfy spot to rest your feet after a day of nonstop dancing!
