Your Valentine’s Day In East London, A Kip Guide…

It’s officially February, the month of love…apparently. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and we think that East London is where you should be spending your time on the 14th of February. Whether you’re in a relationship, being bold and opting for a first date on V-Day, or doing a bit of romance with your friends, we’ve prepared for you a Kip guide to your Valentine’s Day in East London.

First of all, even if you live in London, you’ve got to treat yourself on V-day and stay over with us. There is no better feeling than falling into some fluffy hotel pillows at the end of your date night, even falling in love can’t beat it…we think. We’ve literally got a room for every type of Valentine’s date you’ve got in mind, but if you really want to do romance then we’d definitely recommend that you stay in one of our Studio rooms, or even the Penthouse; a king size bed, cosy lounge, and kitchen area…you’ll be feeling smug about this one, and if you’re looking to impress a certain someone with a 10/10 V-day date, then you’re in the right place.

We feel that every good date should involve an activity, and seeing as you’re in East London then you’ve got to try out the brand new F1 Arcade, right on our doorstep. Whether you’re a real pro driver, or you’ve never even gotten behind the wheel of a car before, the F1 experience is a laugh for everyone, and is guaranteed to bring out your competitive side (let’s be honest, we all need a bit of fire on a date.) There’s also some great cocktails…this is the only time we’ll ever encourage you to drink and drive!

If you’re really into your wines and cute little sharing plates, then we recommend you try out Sager and Wilde on Hackney Road. It’s a super cosy, authentic wine bar, which is real romantic but not at all a cringey or cliche date spot. You can sit at the bar or by the window on one of the small tables, have several glasses of vino and try out some of their tasty small plates, we recommend the cheese toasty…it’s crazy good!

Some people like to pull out all the stops on Valentine’s Day, and we’re definitely here for that! The Waterhouse Project is that sweet spot between fine dining and more relaxed, chilled out atmospheres. You can expect a tasting menu which changes with the seasons, European wines from small scale producers, and what absolutely sells it for us is the location, right beside the canal. The Waterhouse Project is a real experience, which naturally makes it perfect for V-Day.

There are some gorgeous parks dotted around East London, they’re perfect for a post-Valentine’s Day walk…get some fresh air in you after the (likely) hangover. After you’ve woken up in our cosy beds, grabbed a free coffee at reception, we’d suggest going for a little walk around Victoria Park, it’s got a gorgeous little lake, loads of beautiful flowers and some great spots to get a pastry…very romantic indeed.

Whatever you get up to, just know that East London never disappoints, and neither do we 😉
