“Paint Your Feelings” in London Fields
An up and coming mental health platform, The Breakdown Room, are hosting their very first art therapy workshop of the year at their studio in London Fields – around a 13 minute walk from our hotel in Hackney.
We at Kip are huge fans of all things art, and love getting up close and personal with some acrylic paint. At the paint your feelings workshop you’ll get the chance to release any stuck feelings and emotions, get creative & learn about how the use of different colours can help you understand your mind & emotions a little more!
The workshop takes place on Wednesday 2nd of February at 7pm, you can book on here!
MEND – Hackney
A BRAND spanking new wellness centre has opened right around the corner from Hackney Central station! MEND specialises in aerial, vinyasa, yin, and forest yoga, as well as sound healing and calisthenics. Seeing as January is typically the month of “wellness” and “wholesome vibes”, we thought you’d be interested – but really it is something we should try to practice all year long. MEND is all about making time for yourself, giving your mind and body some TLC, and finishing off with a cosy sleep with us.
This Saturday (29th January) MEND are hosting an open day, offering free yoga classes and sound healing from 11-3pm, so pop by if you fancy doing yourself a favour. Click here for more info.
ORII Jam – Colour Factory
If you’ve not been to Hackney Wick then you really need to get your temperature checked…you’re not okay! We joke…but seriously, Hackney Wick is one of the most characterful areas in London – with loads of independent bars & coffee shops along the canal, warehouses filled with the very best music, and a load of street art. One of our favourite things about Hackney Wick is Colour Factory, a live music venue, food court, bar & club all rolled into one. Every Monday ORII Jam takes place, it’s where you need to be to listen to new artists do their thing!

Sessions Arts Club
A cross between a villa in Tuscany and a slightly urban British stately home, is Sessions Arts Club. Little more needs to be said, as the picture painted is already a VERY good one, but, we can also tempt you with the menu. A rhubarb bellini, crab croquets & sea bream, finished off with a ginger cake & cream, are what’s really standing out to us. OH and did we mention that there are also live art performances that go on there?!
