The Cat and Mutton
Taking up residence at the helm of Broadway Market, this is both local boozer and creative cocktail bar in one. Grab yourself a pint of ale, or tuck into a Sunday roast downstairs, then venture up the spiral staircase to savour a ‘Cats Catch’ and panoramic views of the market below. Open ’til 1am Friday & Saturday, no need to cut your night short at the usual kick-out time. Its vicinity to London Fields and the general welcoming vibe makes this a popular choice in Summer – start early to bag yourself one of the outside tables!

The Dolphin
The Dolphin is most famous for its vibrant and ongoing karaoke nights. Situated on Mare Street, The Dolphin is beautifully Victorian inside and out. Renowned for enticing ‘arty alternative’ types and East London stereotypes, the pub hosts an interesting mix of people and ultimately interesting nights, every time.
The selection of drinks are few, but they are cheap, and although the pub could be considered a bit of a ‘rough diamond’ it does sport a large dance floor and dependably tolerant opening hours, which is all you could ask for, really.

The Dove
Over 20 years on Broadway Market, this mainstay tavern is the perfect post-market pitstop. The old-fashioned oak and emphasis on craft beer make this a haven for Belgian beer lovers (they even do group Belgian beer tasting events), and the food is pretty impressive too. Aiming to elevate vegetarian food, The Dove prides itself on its ‘meatless’ dishes which make up half the menu. ‘Meat-Free Monday’ and ‘Thai Tuesday’ offer some tempting treats at pretty darn reasonable prices!

The Cock Tavern
Part of the cask ale revolution in London, The Cock Tavern in Hackney is a London pub for real beer appreciators. The pub itself sits directly above its own brewery that produces unique and exciting beers throughout the year, which has attracted a dedicated following. The building has undergone several revolutions itself and returns to its original glory as The Cock Tavern pub. As you walk through the doors you’ll feel like you’ve time travelled with rock ‘n’ roll music filling up the air thick with the essence of freshly brewed hops.

Pub on the Park
Situated on the very edge of London Fields, this pub has spectacular views across the park, Summer or Winter. Emphasis on the food is British, serving decent portions of the usual pub grub and then some. There’s always something going on at this pub, from comedy to DJs, and if you’re a sports fan you can rejoice – they have 7 screens to watch the big games on!
