The Best Minimalist Accounts to Follow on Instagram

From photographers, to brands and magazines – the ultimate guide to which minimalist accounts to follow on Instagram.

best minimalist instagram accounts

Is there anything better than a monochrome colour palette, clean lines and sharp finishes? If our hotel is anything to go by, we could be slightly biased, but for us, a minimalist style always gets our vote.

Just as we like to see that minimalist style in our rooms, we also like it on our Instagram feed – and have collated a bunch of cool, minimalist accounts to follow.

From moodboard-worthy interiors, to serious style goals, we’re going to keep adding to this categorised list so it becomes your go-to guide for new accounts to check out. So for now, here are our favourite minimalist accounts on Instagram…

Brands | Interiors | Magazines | Photographers | Influencers | Lifestyle

Brands

The makers and shakers of minimalism.

Instrmnt

We first came across Instrmnt in 2014 through their wishlist-worthy watch, inspired by mid-20th century design. Based in Glasgow, the design studio has grown to develop more covetable functional products, collaborating with fellow creatives to build the minimalist lifestyle brand of our dreams. Head to their feed for minimalist inspiration, new products and a look behind-the-scenes.

Skandihus

Handmade ceramics by London-based Danish potter, Stine Dulong, Skandihus’ Instagram profile teams ceramic creations (which we reckon would look real good with a filter coffee) with cool, concrete backdrops. Basically, all of our favourite things.

Interiors

Clear space = clear mind.

Mikey Estrada

Mikey is a Photographer, Interior Stylist and Furniture Collector with – quite possibly – one of the most stylish homes we’ve ever seen. His feed is an ode to his surroundings – a muted colour palette with modern textures, clean open spaces and impeccable lighting choices. The level of taste you’d expect from an Interior Stylist and more.

Louise Roe Copenhagen

Louise Roe is a Denmark-based interiors brand that has been on our radar for a while. The brand stands for – in their own words – “sophisticated simplicity, with a touch of architecture and graphic lines, all with a final touch of what Danish design is known for.” which all shines through their perfectly curated Instagram feed. Again, just to clarify, we cannot be held responsible for your bank balance.

Magazines

Some essential reading we can get on board with.

Minimalissimo Magazine

In their own words; “Minimalissimo magazine is a celebration of minimalism in design. We aim to inspire creatives and showcase the finest examples of art, architecture, fashion, furniture, and product design” – and that sums it up really. You can check out their website, pick up their coffee-table worthy magazine and follow their Instagram for design inspiration.

Cereal Magazine

It feels like no flat lay is complete without the latest issue of Cereal Magazine – but they’re a lot more than a beautiful, minimalist cover. The bi-annual magazine is known for their super-clean photography and finding the hottest artists, designers and places to go (if you haven’t already, you need to check out their city guides). All of this echoes through their Instagram with print-worthy photography in cool, neutral tones.

Minimalist visual therapy at its finest.

Pepijn

We think Pepijn has a viewfinder inside his eye, because he manages to pick out the most Instagram-worthy minimalist spots, everywhere he goes. The Bruges-based interior design student and Freelance Photographer fills his Instagram feed with brutalist architecture, plants, style and city-adventures on his Freddie Grubb bike.

Lydia Harper

Minimalist style isn’t always about a plain white background and one singular item on a Scandinavian table – and Lydia is testament to that. Based in the UK (at the moment), she’s a branding, landscape and wedding photographer with a really distinct, atmospheric style to her photos (with a killer colour palette).

“My work is inspired by what I love and how I spend my time. I am at home on the road, near the ocean or in the mountains” – Lydia Harper
