Reasons not to sleep in
Yes, we know that Kip has the cosiest beds in East London and it would be rude not to maximise that, however now that we’re out of lockdown the urge to get up and out of your pyjamas a little earlier is definitely real! So, here’s our list of reasons not to sleep in…

Start your morning the way that every morning should start, with a coffee at the famous Blacksheep Coffee. Quite literally around the corner from the hotel so you can enjoy an instant morning pick me up!

For breakfast you’ve got to head to Wave (aka We Are Vegan Everything!) max 5 mins walk from the hotel, tucked away down a cute alleyway, is what can only be described as a serene, Scandi, haven. With its own little courtyard filled with plants, hanging chairs, and cosy sofas, it’s the best place for some “me time.” Take your favourite book and tuck into an Açaí bowl, or peanut butter and jam cookie…or both!
P.s. they also have great lunch options, the vegan poke bowl is a must!

Whether you’re an art lover or not, some of our favourite independent galleries are opening up and they’re definitely a reason to get out of bed in the morning! In the heart of Shoreditch is Hales gallery, opening its doors this month with a solo exhibition, Name of the Voice, by female painter & mother, Maja Ruznic. It’s a must see and a great way to get those creative juices flowing again!
The show opens on 10th September and will run until 24th October.

Opposite Hales gallery is the iconic BoxPark, if you’re a newbie or a regular it’s always worth visiting, all of the shops, bars, and restaurants are pop ups and constantly changing…it’ll keep you on your toes! BoxPark is one of those places with everything you need, whether that’s grabbing a snack and a cheeky beverage, doing a little retail therapy, or amusing yourself in the goofy card shops!

Finish off your day on Brick Lane, the place for rainbow bagels and vintage shops galore. Brick Lane is also a great spot for people watching and ever evolving street art!
