Did you know that Christmas is coming?! After bonfire night it’s basically all anyone talks about…With Christmas comes the tradition of Christmas parties, whether that’s an office Christmas party, another excuse for a party with your mates, or a semi-awkward evening with your extended family, basically parties are going to be happening. East London is one of the hubs of great party venues, and Kip is located in the heart of all of the action. With that in mind, we thought we’d offer you our guide to East London Christmas party venues…
Located right in the thick of it, Hoxton Square, Shoreditch, Tonight Josephine can only be described as a massive VIBE. If you’re looking for a venue that is VERY pink, VERY extra, and VERY sparkly, then Tonight Josephine is your spot. You can book a table at Tonight Josephine for a group, or hire out the whole venue and use what you pay for the venue as money behind the bar, oh AND, you can bring your own music and DJ decks if you really want to make it your own!
When you’re all partied out, we’ve got your back! Our hotel in Hackney is only 25 minutes away from Tonight Josephine, just hop on the Number 55 bus.
Jaguar Shoes is a well known collective, hosting events, putting on exhibitions, as well as live music, it’s basically a creative hub where you can also have quite a few beverages, if you fancy. Jaguar Shoes has a handful of different venues and concepts dotted around London, but we’d
suggest the main flagship store, Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes, on Kingsland Road in Shoreditch. It’s got an artsy, atmospheric bar upstairs, and a very East London basement downstairs which you can hire out for private events, as well as see loads of up-and-coming DJs. If you want a proper East London Christmas party experience, then this one’s for you!
Jaguar Shoes is also 25 minutes away from Kip on the Number 55 bus, so you can be resting your party feet in your cosy hotel room in no time!
Love Shack does what it says on the tin, it’s a super warm, friendly, loving environment with a real sense of community. It also feels a little bit like you stepped into Bali, or a really fun shack on a beach in Mexico…maybe a slightly different take on Christmas in East London. The shack serves vegan food, tasty shakes, and a great set of Love Shack signature cocktails. They also host regular live music events, so it’s a great chance to discover new artists and talent.

For something a little more glam, there’s the London Cocktail Club, Shoreditch. You might have guessed, it does really delicious cocktails, and is quite an iconic spot. It’s got a real New York speakeasy feel, and is super cosy as we get into the winter months. London Cocktail Club is also located right next to the Boxparks, so you can grab a drink there before or after your Christmas do!
