It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Our festive Hackney picks
As you probably imagined, our journal is going to be all about Christmas…for the foreseeable, so you may as well get used to it! In our opinion Hackney is where it’s at when it comes to a Christmas activity to-do list, and we’ve got some festive Hackney picks for you, here goes…
Hackney Christmas Markets
Literally around the corner from Kip is the super cute, Bohemia Place Market, and every weekend until 18th December it’s been transformed into some serious Christmassy goodness. There will be loads of festive street food, Christmas workshops, cute gifts to fill your stockings with, and of course copious amounts of mulled wine and boozy hot chocolate.

Ice Skating Skylight At Tobacco Dock
Of course no Christmas to-do list would be a Christmas to-do list without ice skating. There are so so many places to ice skate during the festive period, but we wanted to you try out Tobacco Dock. It’s an iconic, Old England spot, somewhere you should go and visit anyway, but add a rooftop ice skating rink and it’s a MUST.

Christmassy Movies At Luna Cinema
Snuggle up with someone or take yourself on a date (because going to the cinema alone is a VIBE), and watch some of your favourite Christmas movies; Love Actually, Home Alone, and Elf are on the menu…just FYI. You can also snack on some mince pies and mulled wine, to keep the Christmas cliches coming!
The Old Ship Hackney
One of our very favourite Hackney pubs is going all out this Christmas season, with a selection of festive food, Christmassy cocktails, and general merry vibes. There is nothing better than a good, cosy pub to to hang out in during the frosty winter months, and if you’re a bit of a Scrooge, this’ll definitely get you in the mood!

That’s just a handful of our festive Hackney picks, our area is the BEST place to be during Christmas time (we’re not biased…honestly.) We would also love to have you come and have a cosy sleepover with us, and we’ve got plenty of hotel room options from family rooms, to the penthouse, or slightly smaller bedrooms if you’re on a budget from all that Christmas shopping!
