The summer is finally upon us, and whilst there’s no shortage of things to do in the capital, we thought a handy guide to where some of the best goings-on are happening throughout London this July. London Pride – 6 July
Labelled “The UK’s biggest, most diverse Pride”, London’s iconic Pride parade takes place on 6th July. Getting started at Portland Place from 12pm, the parade then moves down Oxford Circus, Regent Street and more on it’s way through to Trafalgar Square before finishing on Whitehall at around 5:30pm. This year London Pride is celebrating 50 years since New York’s Stonewall riots and the birth of the modern LGBT+ rights movement and, with numerous events taking place in the build-up to the parade, it promises to be the biggest yet.

Wireless Festival – 5-7 July
Now in it’s 14th year, Wireless festival shows no signs of slowing down and has already hosted a wide variety of acts since its inception including the likes of Daft Punk, Jay Z, Kanye West and Stormzy. This year’s line-up sees Cardi B, Travis Scott and A$ap Rocky headline their respective days, with a whole host of other names ensuring an action-packed weekend is in store. A number of supporting showcases will be held throughout the city at venues including Village Underground, XOYO, and Brixton Academy, so be sure to check out the site below for more details on what’s happening and when.

Wimbledon Championships – 1-14 July
A British institution which requires little introduction, this year’s Wimbledon Championships are already well underway and will come to a close on 14th July. Can defending champions Novak Djokovic and Angelique Kerber make it through to finals weekend once again? For those not fortunate enough to be a ticket holder this year, there’s still plenty of festivities around the club, with big screen coverage and hopefully a little sun on offer. BST Hyde Park – 5-14 July
Hyde Park’s now-annual concert series BST is back again with international superstars Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Florence & The Machine, The National and Robbie Williams all headlining throughout the 2-week run, again with huge supporting line-ups to ensure a fun-packed day in London’s most famous park. A number of free family-focused events will take place in the park from 8-11th July as part of the festival, ensuring there’s something for everyone and all budgets this summer at BST. As well as the BST series, country legends Bob Dylan and Neil Young will team up for a show in the same venue on 12th July.

Floating Film Festival
Pull up a deck chair or snuggle down in a bean bag and watch some of your all-time favourites aboard St. Katharine’s Dock’s floating platform this summer! Screenings run from 16th right through ‘til the 28th July and will feature box-office smash’s Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star is Born and the 2018 academy award ‘Best Picture’ winner, The Green Book. Snacks and beverages are available, and with covers overhead even the weather can’t stop you enjoying a long summer evening in London. Limited matinee screens are also available for a more family-friendly experience.
