Cosy Things To Do In East London

Okay, so here is one thing we’re absolutely sure of…winter IS cosy season; it’s totally acceptable to go out in public wearing slippers, live in joggers and knitwear, and drink a boozy hot choccie at 11am. Of course, with cosy season comes cosy things to do, so without further ado, here’s our list of ‘Cosy Things To Do In East London.’

Cosy Canalside At Grow

Grow is an independent creative space right on the canal, and for Christmas they have set up a ‘Hackney Wick Winter Gardens’ – an indoor and outdoor space with entertainment, mulled cider, and winter cocktails. Keeping it Christmassy they also have a seasonal sharing menu by Slow Fire London, as well as live jazz every Wednesday, and the chance to discover up and coming djs.

A Sofa Special At The Talbot

Sofa Special At The Talbot

Just a short walk from Dalston Junction station, The Talbot is a proper old English historic pub, which is exactly the kind of spot we’re looking for in winter. The Talbot fits the cosy category because of the very snug upstairs, filled with lovely sofas and board games, so you can feel like you’re in the comfort of your own home with a good glass of wine…and a bunch of strangers.

Talking of cosy pubs…

The Duke Of Richmond

A proper neighbourhood pub, which fits the ‘cosy’ theme because it’s tiny and also has AMAZING food, think gastropub vibes. The Duke Of Richmond is getting into the Christmas spirit with a brand new festive menu which started on December 1st, AND they have happy hour between 4-7pm EVERYDAY! Their terrace is also an absolutely lovely spot to watch the world of Hackney go by, and it’s heated so you can still enjoy it this December.

Christmas Creativity At House Of Hackney

Christmas Creativity At House Of Hackney

House of Hackney is a self-proclaimed sanctuary from the outside world, and we couldn’t agree with them more; filled with prints, colours, and gorgeous furniture that feels luxurious, homely, and kitsch all at the same time. House of Hackney is a great place to do your Christmas shopping and get really unique gifts, as well as Christmassy themed workshops like wreath and cushion making…it’s a real cosy, festive experience
