Bohemia Place Markets
Let’s kick things off across the street. Just a minute’s walk from Hackney Overground (and your room here at Kip) Bohemia Place Markets are our new weekend staple. Previous events include the Hackney Christmas Market, the Vegan Village and a Depop Market to shop your favourite sellers IRL.

Old Spitalfields Market
Opening its doors for the first time in 1876, Old Spitalfields Market claims to be the OG marketplace of East London. Open 7 days a week with 88 market stalls of art, fashion, food and more, there’s a lot going on under one Victorian roof (which is a welcome feature on rainy London days.) Check out their antiques market every Thursday and the vintage vinyl market on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month—oh and whatever you do, eat something (it’s all good).

Columbia Road Flower Market
“Everything from bedding plants to 10 foot banana trees are up for grabs”—no weekend feels complete without a trip to the Columbia Road flower market. Whether you’re looking to deck out your kitchen with some ferns, or gift a ‘congrats on your divorce!’ bouquet, this market has been catering to Londoner’s botanical needs every Sunday since 1869 (yep, 7 years before Old Spitalfields.)

Netil Market
At least once a week, you’ll find us here, discovering new traders and stuffing our faces with za’atar and pomegranate halloumi fries. Just like its sister, Netil House, Netil Market is a go-to spot for cool hunting, 7 days a week. Visiting for the weekend? Browse the stalls at their Saturday market and watch the neighbourhood go by with a drink in hand on the cosy sun terrace.

Brick Lane Market
Probably one of the most well-known markets this side of the city, Brick Lane Market’s worthy of its fame. In their own words, “On Sundays the streets are lined with people hawking their second-hand wares, with some good bargains to be had if you look hard enough! There are also street performers to enhance the vibrant, lively atmosphere.” So, if you’re looking for a mid-century magazine rack, or a place to continue the party from the night before, Brick Lane’s where it’s at.

Brick Lane Vintage Market
As if one market wasn’t enough, head downstairs in Brick Lane’s Truman Brewery to discover the next addition to your vintage wardrobe. Open 7 days a week, you’ll find threads from the 1920s – 1990s all under one roof.

Broadway Market
“Quality, speciality, variety” — Broadway Market always lives up to its slogan. Its Saturday market is a local legend and there are over 70 shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants with their doors open, 7 days a week. If you’re in the neighbourhood and have a Saturday morning to spare, go here.
